The Four Build Layers

Every reliable setup combines a weapon upgrade path, artifact and tablet synergy, permanent talent or inscription support, and one utility answer for healing, movement, or defense.

Core Archetypes

| Archetype | Weapon | Core idea | | --- | --- | --- | | Tanky Shield | Sword & Shield | Block, counter, and outlast | | Meteor Mage | Staff | Stack elemental AoE and spell support | | Glass Cannon | Dagger or Katana | Crit and speed with little margin for error | | Stagger Heavy | Greatsword | Interrupt bosses with high-impact hits | | Safe Ranged | Crossbow | Kite and maintain single-target pressure | | Summoner | Flexible | Let summons pressure while you control space |

The Stacking Rule

Choose one primary damage family and make the weapon, artifacts, tablets, and permanent bonuses reinforce it. A coherent theme usually beats a bag of individually strong but unrelated effects.

Solo Adjustments

Solo builds need their own sustain and add control. Do not spend every slot on damage; one reliable defensive layer often creates more real output by keeping the run alive.

Co-op Roles

Teams benefit from a frontline, sustained ranged pressure, AoE or add control, and utility coverage. Complementary roles outperform four players independently chasing the same damage items.
