How Artifacts Work
Artifacts are per-run passive items. They occupy the inventory grid and reset after the run, so the goal is not simply to collect the highest rarity—it is to assemble effects that support one direction.
Grid and Tablet Adjacency
Tablets empower adjacent artifacts. A tablet touching several useful artifacts creates more value than one isolated in a corner. Leave room to reorganize when the build direction becomes clear.
Rarity
Common and Rare artifacts establish early stats. Epic and Legendary effects can define late-game plans, but an on-theme lower-rarity item may still beat an unrelated premium drop.
Acquisition
Chests, enemies, shops, secret rooms, and bosses supply artifacts. The Mystic Pot can reroll within a rarity or consume two items to reach the next rarity.
Chapter Priorities
Take flexible power in Chapters 1–2, commit to an element or damage family around Chapter 3, and enter Chapters 5–6 with a coherent grid rather than a collection of unrelated bonuses.
